HP's Inkjets printers do not work when the top cover is open, there is a switch on / off through the top cover, only when it is closed, the switch inside the printer is turned on and Cartridge is Pork in its Parking Place. This switch and paper sensor are connected to a small circuit, this circuit is located just below the top cover, due to its settings, the printer stops working and the cartridge is not parked.

Some common errors encountered in HP DeskJet:

· Check the power adapter, the power switch or power socket may be bad and loose.

· Check the flexible cable connected to the Power On / Off Switch to be properly connected in the electronics of the Printer.

· In such a situation, there is a loose connection of the wire from the on-off switch of the printer to the electronics. Check it.

Both Cartridge are engaged but Cartridge is not getting parked even when the top cover is closed. Paper feed LED is blinking.
